                                                                            狐假虎威
    虎求百兽而食之,得狐。狐曰:"子无敢食我也，天帝使我长百兽，今子食我乃是逆天命也。子以我为不信，吾为子先行，子随我后，观百兽之见我而敢不走呼？” 虎以为然，故遂与之行，兽见之皆走。虎不知兽畏己而走也，以为畏狐也。

Tiger finds all kinds of animal to eat and catches a fox. Fox says,"You dare not to eat me, God send me here to control all animals if you eat me today it will be against God's order. If you don't believe me then follow me for a stroll. I'll go in front of you and you will go after. The animals watching will all run away. The Tiger thought it make some sense and therefore follows the fox, all the others run away. The tiger doesn't know that the animals were afraid of him but rather think they were afraid of the fox.

畏wei4=scare, afraid   故遂gu4 sui4=therefore


狐假虎威比喻 use someone else's power to benefit yourself or profit from it. It has negative meaning.
